Operation Legacy is a creative storytelling workshop open to military women to stretch their memories and explore their bravery. During our one-day workshop we will explore an array of unique and creative techniques for all of our guests to share their story their way. Each workshop is designed to freely express our stories guided by writer and founder of Athena’s Sisters Lindsay Gargotto. We will use creative writing, sketching, collaging, photography, sewing, performance, etc. to share our stories that are exceptional and beautiful.
There will be time built in for sharing, which is completely optional. There will be trusted women available for private conversations if or when needed. Our main focus will be creative writing and visual arts in hopes you will share your creativity to be included in our next publication of tHE ART of Sisterhood (our self-published magazine from beginning to end made by military women).
It is so important we share our stories – they are our legacies and they can never be replaced or retold by anyone but ourselves. We are the experts of our own lives and there is no wrong way to tell your story. The day of all you need to bring is yourself and any memoribila you would like to share or use as inspiration.
